We recommend a first orthodontic check-up
at age 8 or 9. An earlier visit is appropriate if you or your
dentist identifies a particular problem that needs attention.
During the initial visit we will describe the problems that are
present and discuss the appropriate timing for treatment. Some
bite problems are easier to treat at a younger age and can prevent
problems from getting worse, while for other bite problems, it
is best to wait for all of the permanent teeth to erupt to begin
treatment. We will discuss the timing of treatment that is best
for you or your child.
After the first visit, one of three decisions will be made:
• Treatment is not indicated.
• Treatment will be indicated in the future. A return appointment
will be made to monitor growth and development.
• Treatment is indicated now. An appointment will be made
to gather diagnostic records (Models, X-rays, and Pictures) that
will allow the doctors to formulate a comprehensive diagnosis
and treatment plan.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve your orthodontic
needs in a friendly and fun environment.
The initial visit and recall appointments are complimentary for
children under 21. There is an initial visit fee for adults.
